An artist knows that there must be Order in which to create. How can you working on a masterpiece if every time you go to your easel all you find are mucky brushes stiff with dried up paint. Just as there is a sublime Order in the Universe and the Creative Flow, so should be Divine Order in our daily round. Not having to rummage for the salt shaker(only to find it empty)while cooking; search through different piles scattered around the house or on the floor of the laundry room for your comfy pants or cover your head before you open the hallway closet, are small mercies that can heal your life everyday.
On the Simple Abundance path, we begin to think of Order not as a strait-jacket of “shoulds” (make the bed, wash the dishes, take out the garbage) but as a shape—the foundation—for the beautiful new life you create every moment with small conscious actions.
So next time you put something back after taking it out, close a cupboard door after opening it, or hang a coat up instead of tossing it on a chair, realize what you’re really doing is creating a Personal Pattern for Peace.
